Julianne Garbarino
​Graduate Student, PhD Candidate
​Julianne is a PhD student in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences. She holds a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Boston University and is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist.
Julianne's research goals are to better understand the language skills of individuals belonging to underserved populations, including adolescents and adults who have autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and specific language impairment (SLI). She is also interested in stuttering and assists with the FluencyBank Project. Julianne is involved in the Language Science Center (LSC), as well as in PEERS and SIGNA, programs for high school and college students with social communication difficulties. Research Staff 

Ning Hsu
​Project Manager, Fluency Bank
Ning received her doctoral degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois. She holds a master's degree in Linguistics and a bachelor's degree in Finance from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. She currently works as the project manager in the Language Fluency Lab for the Fluency Bank. Ning is interested in how children become fluent, productive users of their native languages. Her long-term research goals are to develop valid predictors for persistent language and fluency disorders and to design intervention strategies that can be used by parents and practitioners.

​Courtney Overton
​Project Manager, Child Language Assessment Project
Courtney graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders. She holds a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson College. Courtney currently works as the project manager in the Language Fluency Lab for the Child Language Assessment Project.
